Testing Principle

The assay utilizes a latex-enhanced specific protein immunochemical reaction. Highly purified cyclic citrullinated peptide (CCP) antigens are coated onto the surface of latex particles. When mixed with the sample, Anti-CCP antibodies present in the human serum react specifically with these coated antigens, leading to agglutination and forming immune complexes. This immune agglutination scatters light under irradiation. The intensity of the scattered light is directly proportional to the concentration of Anti-CCP in the sample, which is measured quantitatively by a specific protein analyzer and automatically calculated against a standard calibration curve.
